近日，福建省旅游局公布2015年全省33家被“摘星”(取消星级)酒店名单，其中泉州占9家，分别为2家三星级酒店和7家二星级酒店、宾馆。
省旅游局指出，酒店“摘星”多是出于设备设施老化、消防隐患、软件服务不达标以及未参加三年复评等原因。此事经早报官微报道后，不少市民关心，这些酒店是因为这些原因中的哪一条而被“摘星”。“如果是硬件软件不合格，以后还真不敢去了。”有市民说。
记者走访了市区几家“摘星”酒店发现，原来，不只有被“摘星”，还有主动“弃星”的。
部分酒店主动“弃星”，看上去是节约成本，因为配合年检活动将耗费一定程度的人力物力，实则是反腐的威力所致，一部分酒店不得不走低端路线，因为 “八项规定”实施后，星级酒店遭冷遇是普遍现象。因为一部分人不再认为，到星级酒店是面子。
不过星级酒店回归大众也没有什么不好的，但问题是，一旦取消星级，这些酒店就不再归旅游部门管辖了。虽然酒店省去了配合年检活动耗费的人力物力，那么，酒店的硬件软件建设，服务质量、物价、卫生等有谁来管不能空挡。因为有市民对“摘星”后的酒店表示出了担忧：“如果是硬件软件不合格，以后还真不敢去了。”

The hotel was great. Clean, well serviced, and well situated. The staff were also very friendly and could speak some English. Although this is the Garland Hotel, we had full facilities of the main hotel as well. The only disappointing thing was the clear window between the bathroom and the bedroom. There was a screen that could be pulled down, but this still left a gap that those in the bedroom were able to see through. The screen was on the bedroom side as well. It would have been better fitted on the bathroom side of the wall.

还方便。就在趵突泉旁边，打的也方便。出差住住不错。靠近泉城广场。周边吃饭的地方也不少。总体来说还可以吧。
