2016年前 11个月，来自中国的游客数量同比增长了36%，而来自印度的游客数量同比增长 8.2%，增幅远高于其他国家。其中，有大量游客来自于二三线城市，比如中国的郑州，济南和印度的 Jaipur(斋普尔)等。
为了利用这一点，香格里拉集团旗下的中档酒店 Hotel Jen 开始免费向客户出租 GoPro 相机和根据年龄提供折扣等。这些新策略对于结伴出行的中国游客来说非常具有吸引力。香格里拉集团去年投资了4500万新币，对一处旧的酒店进行重新装修，开设了新加坡的第二家 Hotel Jen。
新加坡酒店业内人士表示，他们计划在中国大陆设立办事处，并与旅行社进行合作，以吸引更多中国大陆的游客。

The hotel was great. Clean, well serviced, and well situated. The staff were also very friendly and could speak some English. Although this is the Garland Hotel, we had full facilities of the main hotel as well. The only disappointing thing was the clear window between the bathroom and the bedroom. There was a screen that could be pulled down, but this still left a gap that those in the bedroom were able to see through. The screen was on the bedroom side as well. It would have been better fitted on the bathroom side of the wall.

还方便。就在趵突泉旁边，打的也方便。出差住住不错。靠近泉城广场。周边吃饭的地方也不少。总体来说还可以吧。
