据马来西亚《星洲日报》报道，马来西亚旅游及文化部长纳兹里4日在下议院提呈2017年旅游税法案一读，规定所有酒店业者必须向游客征收旅游税。
旅游税是以租用的房间多少计算，而非以人头计算，若一间房间住客超过一人，其他游客无需承担旅游税。
根据法案，所有酒店业者必须向关税局申请注册，以在期满时缴交旅游税给关税局，违例者可被判罚款不超过3万令吉，或坐牢不超过一年，或两者兼施。
游客若没有缴纳旅游税、罚款、附加费或其他费用将被视为犯罪，可被禁止离开大马，直到还清旅游税为止，或给予一些能让关税局总监满意的抵押或保障。

The hotel was great. Clean, well serviced, and well situated. The staff were also very friendly and could speak some English. Although this is the Garland Hotel, we had full facilities of the main hotel as well. The only disappointing thing was the clear window between the bathroom and the bedroom. There was a screen that could be pulled down, but this still left a gap that those in the bedroom were able to see through. The screen was on the bedroom side as well. It would have been better fitted on the bathroom side of the wall.

还方便。就在趵突泉旁边，打的也方便。出差住住不错。靠近泉城广场。周边吃饭的地方也不少。总体来说还可以吧。
