10月份，大理环保部门认为双廊海地生活客栈存在“将经营过程中产生的污水通过私设的暗管直接排入洱海”的违法行为，被勒令停业整治，罚款10万元。
海地生活客栈是大理双廊比较早的客栈。因为其无敌海景，加上公共平台上非常适合摄影的白色桌凳，一度成为游客在双廊必去的拍照点。可以说，海地生活客栈的观景平台，已经有意无意成了双廊一个重要的景点，甚至被称为双廊最具代表性的地方之一。
但是，双廊所有临海的客栈，几乎都避不开一个问题：环保。双廊的环保问题，如今再要去追究到底是谁的责任，已经不可能。按照海地生活负责人之一“嘉明“的说法，双廊环保问题，是所有人都有的原罪。

The hotel was great. Clean, well serviced, and well situated. The staff were also very friendly and could speak some English. Although this is the Garland Hotel, we had full facilities of the main hotel as well. The only disappointing thing was the clear window between the bathroom and the bedroom. There was a screen that could be pulled down, but this still left a gap that those in the bedroom were able to see through. The screen was on the bedroom side as well. It would have been better fitted on the bathroom side of the wall.

还方便。就在趵突泉旁边，打的也方便。出差住住不错。靠近泉城广场。周边吃饭的地方也不少。总体来说还可以吧。
